Community YouthMapping Kick-off in Alexandria

Community YouthMapping, an AED approach to youth, workforce, and community development, is in the news again! Now being launched in Alexandria, Va, teams of teenagers will go street-by-street surveying the city’s West End for resources and opportunities available to youth. After mapping the information, the youth will present their findings to the mayor and city council so that gaps can be addressed.

Community YouthMapping, which has been done in seven countries and more than 100 communities across the United States, empowers youth and helps them become active, engaged citizens and community leaders. Find out if your community has been mapped on the National Community YouthMapping website.
